Assateague Island National Seashore

Still attempting to keep the posts diverse from my most recent photo trip. Today's post is a seal that discovered on the beach at Assateague, while in search of Snowy Owls. Since I was scanning the dunes for owls and saw very few shore birds, almost missed this guy. Seals are seen, but not common, so seeing him was a bonus. The wind was howling from the west and you can see the blowing sand above the beach. Blue Skies.

What a suprise!

I had no idea that seals visited Assateague. Not only is it an unusual encounter but you captured a beautiful image!
