A few days ago Dall Sheep came down low.
The sheep generally stay up in the higher elevations to have a safe haven from predators. These sheep shots were captured right behind the box mid-day.
Someone saw the first lamb of the season yesterday. Next week when I am off I plan on climbing to one of the prime sheep areas to see if I can photograph some of them.
Blue Skies.

I have seen viseos of the rams fighting and they sure are fierce. These seem tame enough if they are coming so close but like a lot of wildlife they gt used to people and cars being around.
Another lovely post Ken. Thanks for sharing.
Stunning shots, Ken.
I can't wait to see the lamb shots. Hope you are lucky enough to get those. So far, your luck has been good.
Ken, this is a great and beautiful wildlife photography site. And you have all the times now (cause you are retired) to revisit all the beautiful places and animal and shoot till you heart content.
Is that a 600 mm?
Beautiful! I really like the first shot. Did you crop it or were you able to get close enough for a nice portrait shot?
Wow Ken, You never disappoint - great photos as always! I'm sure you are looking forward to your day off so you can put more time into exploration. I'll be looking forward to seeing what you post next.
Dave and Cathy are excited at the prospect of seeing you up there on Thursday at the Visitor Center. I'm sending you an email in a few minutes with some info. I hope your internet connection is still up and working.
I am just getting up to speed with all your ventures! Your shots have been amazing. I especially like the grizzly bear series. Maybe because that bear is so darn lovable. Happy trails!
Nice, look very big. Looking forward to more snaps from sheep area.
Man That is what I want to photograph so bad
śliczne fotki.
Ken: What a great shot of the sheep. You have been getting excellant shots in Alaska.
Very good portrait (1) and good luck.
No comments are required, it is all in the images. Blues skies as you say.
A beautiful series on the sheep and the grizzly. As usual, I am following your adventures with interest and you certainly can deliver with top-quality photographs.
I also enjoyed the post on the sled dogs.
