Today's featured species is the Blue-winged teal. As mentioned in an earlier post the teal numbers are high on this trip. All the above images were captured at Green Cay Wetlands in Boynton Beach. They have a informative Naturalist and volunteer staff that will help you locate target species.
The top shot is of a static male. The second photo is of two competing males for a female. They were chasing each other around for a few minutes and this was the only keeper. The bottom two photos are of a displaying male. If you have patience after the morning feeding the waterfowl will preen and often stand almost on top of the water to shake the excess feathers off.

You are correct about the case. Shots from the 40D and 500mmf4 and close shots of the vehicle and occupants with the 17-40 on the 30D resulted in one of the individuals signing a statement, which was extremely favorable for lawn enforcement.
