Denali - Rainbows

When I was out walking Muddy (May 30th post) about an hour ago, I watched a rainbow form in the east sky. Quickly ran back to the cabin, grabbed my camera gear and was able to capture the three images above while traveling west on the park road before it disappeared. Blue Skies.

Here are your new instructions from today and are to be adhered to without fail:

NEVER LEAVE THE CABIN WITHOUT YOUR CAMERA (Even when going to the bathroom) LOL!!

Wow Ken!! Those are dramatic pics. I love the landscaping of the first one especially. I wish we would start to get some rain here. We really need it as it has been a few months since our last drops fell.

Just kidding about your new instructions. :)

Great pics Ken. May i ask what settings and filters (if any) did you use?

Joan,
I should follow your rule. Just hard to carry camera gear when Muddy is pulling me the whole time on our walk. Hope you get some rain!

Marka,
Thanks for the kind words. Hope you get a rainbow opportunity soon.

Adrian,
I was shooting 320th/F14 @ 400ISO with a -1/3 compensation and using no filters.

Blue Skies,
Ken

Beautiful rainbow shots! Hopefully the smoke from the forest fires isn't impacting you too much at Denali. It's been on and off into Fairbanks, but so far not too bad.

Denali Ken discovers landscape photography!!! First time ever I see a photo of Ken that does not include an animal. A new world of photography opens up.

One word...AMAZING! The first image is spectacular.

I also agree with your new instructions! While in Yellowstone this past week, I left my camera back at our room while we went to grab dinner thinking I wouldn't have any photo ops. Well I was wrong. Missed out on some great imaging on Yellowstone Lake. Awe schucks!
