Publications this Week

Was fortunate to receive two magazines in the mail this week that have published my photographs. Both were taken earlier this year. The top image is of a new wildlife observation platform on Virginia's eastern shore that was published in Virginia Wildlife. The bottom image of the federal endangered Snail Kite was featured in Birder's World.

Ken,

Well done, and congratulations on the published images.

We were at B Meadows on Thursday and the bucks were really after the does shortly after sun-up. (the best action was to the right of the road that goes through the meadow and at the turn in it. We saw two nice bucks on the road to the campground, but one had a deformed or broken right antler. A sow and two cubs were near the Dark Hollow Falls parking lot (between it and Franklin Cliffs).

All in all it was one of the better one day trips that I have had to the park, but it seemed that I was behind the curve on much of my shooting and didn't get as many good images as I had hoped.

Thanks for the tips in your e-mail. We didn't get to see the owl, but I expect there is a good chance of seeing him before the fall is over.

Thats awesome! Two great photographs!

The perspective you captured and the dramatic sky make the shot at Willis Warf an incredible photograph!
